How teams stay cheap
Credits are per golfer, not per course. Cache a course one year per user — scorecard, GPS, and green image files. Another user of the same course is another 3 credits.
Credits stay available while the subscription is active. If you stop paying and suspend the service, you lose access to all remaining credits and the token suspends.
Test accounts cannot top up in the console. Email us when you want Personal, Starter, or Facility.

Can I build a personal golf app with Claude Code or Grok?

Can I cache a course so I do not pay again?
Yes. Cache a course (scorecard + GPS + green image files) up to one year for that user. Credits are per golfer, not per course. Another user of the same course is another 3 credits. Green maps expire daily if you re-fetch them.
Is GPS extra on top of the scorecard?
No. GPS alone is 2 credits. Full course detail is 3 credits and includes scorecard + GPS. You do not pay 1 + 2 if you use the flagship detail call.
How do 27- and 36-hole clubs work?
A course group is the facility. Multiple nines live as courses[] inside one publicId. Search once, then compose the specific 18 (or 27) the golfer is playing in your UI. We do not flatten it.
Do you have global lie elevation?
Do not assume that. US and UK are strongest. Send course names and we will check. Lie elevation is live on the geohash endpoint — it is not coming soon — but coverage is not a global promise.
Is this player rankings or a scoreboard?
No. This API is course / GPS / greens. It is not player rankings, not a scoreboard, and not a player-history feed.
Can we print yardage books or pin sheets?
Personal and Starter stay digital in-app only — no printed yardage books or pin sheets. Facility may generate hole-location / pin sheets for the activated course inside the licensed facility product; any printed or print-ready pin sheet must be stamped StrackaHoLo. You still may not sell yardage books or a competing print product from the API. Data partners cannot resell the data outside their licensed product.
Do unused credits stay available?
Credits stay available while the subscription is active. If you stop paying and suspend the service, you lose access to all remaining credits and the token suspends.

A golf data API (sometimes searched as golfdata or a data golf API) is a machine-readable feed of golf course data for apps. Ours is course, GPS, and green data — not player rankings. Records include location, multi-tee scorecards, GPS shapes, and 3D greens. Teams building a golfer experience can start on AI info with the 50-credit Free Test. Personal is $49/month for 1,000 credits for your own game. Starter is $399/month for 10,000 credits for apps.
How does golf API integration work?
Golf API integration is search, then hydrate. Search is free. Pull scorecard (1 credit), GPS (2 credits), or full course detail (3 credits for scorecard + GPS). Cache a course up to one year per golfer. Console login is email plus a verification code — no card for the test. When you are ready to pay, email data@golfintelligence.com for a Personal or Starter invoice; there is no Checkout on this site.
Do you offer a USGA API?
No official USGA API. Course records include alternate IDs including USGA where we have them. The product is a golf course API — layouts, GPS, scorecards, greens — not a USGA rules or handicap feed. Contact data@golfintelligence.com if you need a specific course ID mapping.
